Design Methodology + Principles

3 Pillars of my creative Foundation

Product Development

I take a human-centered design approach to product and service design...grounded in understanding real user needs and context. Prioritizing user-centric thinking, agile workflows, and flexibility ensures that the solutions we build are not only functional, but also meaningful and memorable.

Creative Management

I believe great teams thrive when inspired, empowered, and supported. My leadership style is rooted in collaboration, empathy, and clarity of purpose. I focus on providing the right tools, nurturing inclusive mindsets, and keeping the team aligned with the broader vision.

Storytelling

Whether through ancient hieroglyphs or modern design, storytelling has always been a powerful way to connect. I weave storytelling into every stage of product development, using multi-sensory prototyping to help stakeholders and users clearly understand and feel the intended experience.

My design methodology

My daily workflow is grounded in a human-centered design framework. While design thinking comes in many forms, I often draw from two IDEO models: the 4Ds and the KnowMake framework. Both offer adaptable approaches for navigating complexity while staying focused on user needs.

My leadership principles

Empathy lies at the heart of both design and leadership.

A contextual, user-centric point of view...combined with data-driven decision making drives meaningful outcomes. I believe in practicing
humility, empowering individuals, and building trust through transparency and support.

My team & Collaborations

I’ve led multidisciplinary teams and partnered closely with cross-functional collaborators across design, business, and engineering. Together, we’ve aligned strategy with execution to create experiences that are both impactful and scalable.

Servant leadership

“A leader takes people where they want to go. A great leader takes people where they don’t necessarily want to go, but ought to be.”

— Rosalynn Carter

Vision provides direction...but great outcomes emerge when teams are trusted to chart the path. I value listening as much as guiding, creating space for ownership, collaboration, and authentic team chemistry.

Transformational leadership

Designing in today’s fast-evolving landscape requires flexibility, not just in tools and process, but in mindset. I strive to foster a team culture that’s agile, resilient, and forward thinking...where growth, experimentation, and relevance are ongoing pursuits.
